Information Collected 

Southeast Tech does not collect or require visitors to its website to furnish personally identifying information unless visitors opt to complete our forms or to use our e-commerce platforms (purchases and donations). “Personal information” includes information that is unique to you and may include your name, phone number, address and email address. If you encounter a screen or page that requests information you do not want to share with us, do not enter the information and do not proceed with that screen or page. If you do provide us with personal information, we will only use it for the purposes described where it is collected (e.g., Request Information Form, Admissions Application, registering and paying to take a test at our Testing Center, donating online to our Foundation, etc.). Like most website operators, Southeast Tech does collect non-personally identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, operating system, language preference, referring site and date and time of each visitor request. Southeast Tech also collects potentially-personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Southeast Tech acts in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) guidelines as set forth by the Department of Education. FERPA allows Southeast Tech to release "Directory Information" to third parties without student consent. Students may request "Directory Information" be held confidential by filing a privacy request form in the Student Services office. Any educational information not considered "Directory Information" will not be released without written consent from the student.
